The 70th Annual Conference of the Association of Hispanists of Great Britain and Ireland will comprise of two face-to-face days at the University of Edinburgh (Monday 7 – Tuesday 8 April 2025) and one day fully online (Thursday 10 April 2025). We particularly encourage those who would like to participate online to consider formats such as roundtable discussion and workshops.

All AHGBI members, especially Lusitanists, PGRs and ECAs, are warmly invited to propose the delivery of a paper and/or the organisation of a panel. The AHGBI actively encourages proposals for panels that involve a mixture of career stages, and is keen to encourage within the same panel the participation of retired members of the Association, established scholars in the field, and ECA/PGR speakers. We also welcome other formats, and we encourage members to get in touch with the Conference Secretary with further ideas (please contact Dr Victoria Ríos Castaño : hispanists.ahgbi@gmail.com).

Please read the AHGBI CFP 2025 carefully. Papers and panels can be submitted via the links in the menu at the bottom of the page.

The deadline for submission of individual papers and panels for the 2025 AHGBI Annual Conference has been extended to Friday 29th November.
